Current State:Fully restored, operational
1492B entered service with London Transport at Aldenham Works in 1968, a similar vehicle being based at Chiswick works. In 1988 at the end of LT service it was sold to the British Ambulance Preservation Society, the member into whose care it fell being also a Cobham member.

It was purchased by members and donated to the Museum in June 2002.
