Disposal was unusually direct into preservation in September 1973 when acquired by the current owner, with the overhauled chassis mechanical units serving the vehicle well during a hard worked preservation life, until the rear body mounting failed and collapsed in July 1988. The bus received a comprehensive overhaul, which required the body to be lifted from the chassis, the first operation of its kind to be undertaken at Cobham, which was completed in March 1993. Since then, various other items have been attended to, including re-upholstering the seats, and replacing some structural body components. This vehicle is privately owned.
